ABOUT

The main idea of non-repertory theatre «Classical Grand Ballet» created by Konstantin Pinchuk lies in holding up of the classical art traditions.

The ballet masters of the theatre are the graduates of the schools of classical ballet noted throughout the world. Vladimir Troshchenko brilliantly graduated from the Leningrad Academic Choreographic School named after A. Y. Vaganova. Aleksandr Sokolov completed a course of ballet masters of the Moscow Choreographic Academy (class of Yu. Grigorovich).

The theatre repertoire consists of the classical ballet dance performances: «The Swan Lake», «Romeo and Juliet», «The Sleeping Beauty», «Giselle», «The Nutcracker», «The Chinese Legend», «Spartacus», «Don Quixote», the musicals «My Carmen», «The Snow Queen», and «The Bremen Town Musicians». There is a large gala concert program in the theatre. The gala concerts “World Ballet Stars” scored a great success in Ukraine, Israel, Italy, Spain, France, and Germany. The sophisticated European audience was taken over by invited soloists of the company: Ilse Liepa, Nina Semizorova, Mark Peretokin, Aidar Akhmetov, Yulia Makhalina, Evgeny Ivanchenko, Tatiana Goliakova, Daniil Korsuntsev, Ilya Kuznetsov, Fethon Miozzi, Jessica Mezei, Elena Filipieva, Gennadii Zhalo, Irina Surneva, Iwata Morihiro, and Sergey Kononenko.

The musical performance «My Carmen» was the first musical of the theatre. The Stage Director Yurii Chaika and Producer Konstantin Pinchuk for the first time used a synthesis of the opera, contemporary ballet and a variety show in the contemporary presentation of musical performance «Carmen». Tamara Gverdtsiteli and Giovanni Ribichesu played the leading parts in the performance.

The budding stars of classical ballet, the present winners at the International Competitions Iana Salenko, Ivan Vasiliev, Oksana Bondareva, Solfi Kim, Viktor Ishchuk, Natalia Matsak, Denis Nedak, Olga Kifiak, Artem Alifanov, Alisa Voronova, and many more acquired their first professional skills in the ballet dance performances of our theatre. This ballet project is one of the most interesting projects because the ballet traditions of the leading theatres – the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theatre and the leading theatres of Italy, Germany, Japan and USA have intertwined on a single stage in the performances and gala concerts of the theatre «Classic Grand Ballet».

RussianClassicalGrandBallet_SleepingBeauty

In 2015, a unique concert program «AVE MAYA» was created in commemoration of the Great Ballerina Maya Plisetskaya in cooperation with Ilse Liepa and Elena Filipieva. We are sure that the theatregoers will enjoy our ballet dance performances and gala concerts very much. This is because the ballet and opera are more than a spectacle. These are the art forms needing the specific delicacy of heart.

A beauty, grace, a fairy tale!

How else can you describe the ballet? The magical world of art, once it touched the human soul – it will never leave it.
It is impossible and pointless to talk about ballet, one has to watch it and admire it. You will see world stars along with the ones making their first professional steps this evening.
Let us wish success to all who have devoted their lives to this beautiful art form.
